Canoe Weekend

August 22 @ 3:00 pm - August 24 @ 12:00 pm

Canoeing on the Sugar River with a luncheon on the shores of the river in Albany and a Fondue for dinner under the stars.
A fun fulfilled and relaxing weekend for young and old.

Most of us camp at the Sweet Minihaha Campground Friday and Saturday night.
However, If you are not into Camping, you have several options.

  • Drive up on Saturday Morning.
  • Stay in a local Hotel/Motel such as the Chalet Landhaus in New Glarus. (Check for availability).
  • Find a Local (Albany) airbnb or similar.

We depart from the Campground at 9:50AM with the bus that brings us to the canoe launch at EE. We exit the Sugar River at Sweet Minnehaha.

Lunch will be held at the 300 N Water Street, Albany Wi. ~ 11:30 isch

The event is a BYOB++ weekend. Meaning that other then Saturday Lunch, you are responsible for all of your meals.

For Saturday Lunch, we organize brats, cervelats, bread, watermelon, and salads.
We will also have the annual wine tasting of the latest Swiss wine imports from Swiss Cellars.

The highlight of the weekend has become the Fondue Dinner at the Campground under the stars. Every Family/Group brings their own Caquelon, burner, plates etc. and all the ingredients for your unmatched Fondue experience. We don’t judge if you use vegetables or fruit!!
